We design, synthesize and study organometallic complexes for their potential use as homogeneous catalysts and biomedical applications.
Of current interest to us are the C-C and C-heteroatom bond formning reactions in multi-cycle tandem catalysis, asymmetric catalysis, bifunctional catalysis, oxidation reactions, olefin polymerization and the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic lactides.
We also design small molecule mimicks of mononuclear and multi-nuclear metalloenzymes.
