Scholarships

Burjor Godrej Scholarships

  • Merit-cum-Means Scholarships
    Six in number, Rs. 2000/- p.m. ; three each for M. Sc. previous and M. Sc. final year
    Offered to three Junior M. Sc. students (as defined above) and three Senior M. Sc. students (as defined above), for 5 months per semester, based on the IIT Senate specified norms of financial status of parents, subject to the SPI being NOT LESS THAN 7.0 in the semester, with at least one for each year being reserved for students from the integrated five year stream.
  • Scholarships for academic excellence
    Two in number; Rs. 5000/- p.m. each for the top ranking candidate in M. Sc. previous and M. Sc. final year.
    The scholarship is offered to one M. Sc.,Junior student [viz. first year of two year M.Sc. / 4th year of 5-year integrated M. Sc.] and one M.Sc. senior student [viz. 2nd year of 2-year M. Sc. / 5th year of 5-year integrated M.Sc.] securing highest SPI in a semester, with a minimum of 8.5
  • The fellowship duration is five months in each semester, hence, the student securing highest SPI will get a cumulated scholarship amount of Rs. 25,000/- for the duration of the preceding semester.

Madhav Pandya Fellowship Merit cum Means

  • The scholarship carries a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- per annum.
    This is a means-cum-need scholarship.
    Students with parental income not exceeding Rs. 1.5 lakhs per annum are eligible to apply. Students of 1st year of 2-year program and 4th year of 5-year integrated program can apply.

Jai Prakash Book Award

  • Text book on Chemistry or allied subject worth Rs. 5000/- per year to two students (up to Rs. 2500/- each for two students)
  • One award to the student admitted with the highest rank in M. Sc. Chemistry Entrance Examination.
  • One award to the student admitted with the highest rank in M. Sc. Chemistry Entrance Examination.
  • The minimum CPI for eligibility for this will be 7.0

Adani Award

    Two awards for outstanding teaching assistants. Value of the award would be Rs. 2500/- each.
    One award each for CH-101 andCH-102 . Evaluation of B. Tech. students would be the main criterion for the selection of the awardees.
    Only those teaching assistants who have done a particular course for at least two years will be eligible for the award.

     

Prof. B. L. Tembe Book Grant

  • Rs. 1000/- each to the topper in each specialization. (Inorganic ; Organic; Physical)

Late Dr. Vasudeo Vithal Bhat Book Grant

  • Book grant of Rs. 1000/- for winning team of "Chem. Quiz"
  • Book grant of Rs. 2500/-
    • for female student
    • in 2nd year of 2-year M. Sc. OR 5th year of 5-year integrated M.Sc
    • having maximum CPI in the first year (for 2-year program) and Iv year (for 5-year int. program)
