Check list / useful information

Travel related information:

  1. All foreign participants require a visa to enter India. Please make sure you have one.  If you do not have one yet, please write to iris12@chem.iitb.ac.in immediately.
  2. All hotel guests are required to produce proper proof of identification upon check-in. Valid identification documents include: passport (foreign participants), voters ID card, current driving license, PAN card (Indian participants); the document must include a photograph. Please email a scanned copy of your photo identification, which you will be presenting at the hotel, to iris12@chem.iitb.ac.in. This will enable us to expedite your check-in process.
  3. Please send your travel details.  Goa airport – hotel – airport and Madgaon railway station – hotel – station transfers are being organized by us.  Look out for the IRIS-12 banner as you come out of the arrivals hall at Goa airport or exit the railway station.
  4. At Mumbai airport, the inter-terminal transfer service is a convenient mode of transport for international passengers wanting to catch a connecting domestic flight, and vice versa. This service is absolutely free and available every 30 minutes, round the clock. Domestic passengers first need to collect their baggage and produce their confirmed tickets before they can avail of this service. International passengers can make use of this service only after they have cleared customs and possess confirmed tickets for onward domestic flights. Please note: If you happen to come outside the terminal, you will not be able to board the bus due to security reasons.

Travel desk at conference:

         The conference travel partners, Dreamz Conference Management Pvt. Ltd. will provide assistance on all travel, sightseeing and hotel booking issues, including bookings. Manuscript for special issue of J. Organomet. Chem.:

  1. Deadline for submission of manuscripts for the special IRIS-12 issue of the Journal of Organometallic Chemistry is September 30, 2009. However, we would prefer if the manuscripts are submitted as early as possible. For online submission, please visit http://ees.elsevier.com/jorganchem, and make sure to select “Special Issue: IRIS-12 (Adams)” from the pull down options of article type.

Presentations:

  1. Duration of lectures:

               Inaugural Lecture:            1 hour
               Public Lecture:                 1 hour
               Plenary Lectures:             45 minutes
               Invited Lectures:               30 minutes
               Oral presentations:          20 minutes

               Oral speakers may send their PowerPoint Presentation (ppt) files in advance to iris12@chem.iitb.ac.in.  They can also upload the files at least one session before the one in which they are scheduled to present. 

  1. Poster presentations:

          Poster size should be:  1 m x 1 m .  Larger posters cannot be posted on the facilities being provided for the poster sessions.  Provision for posting the posters on the boards will be available from 8.30 am on Tuesday, August 17, 2009.  All posters must be removed immediately after the poster session, latest by 8.30 pm on the same day.

Conference secretariat:

         The conference secretariat will be open from 8 am to 10 pm on August 16 – 21, 2009. It will provide administrative assistance, such as providing duplicate receipts, participation certificates, etc.  Conference volunteers, identified by their red badges, may be approached at any time for any assistance.
