On behalf of the Organizing Committee we have immense pleasure to invite you to attend the 12th International Symposium on Inorganic Ring Systems, IRIS 12, which will be held in Goa, India from August 16 - 21, 2009. The Symposium will be organized under the aegis of the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and it coincides with the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the institute.

This conference will serve as a professional forum to disseminate scientific knowledge on areas related to the chemistry of inorganic rings, chains, cages, and clusters. Synthesis, structure and reactivity, including catalysis, computational and theoretical methods, transition metal and mixed transition metal, main group element cages and clusters, and inorganic materials will constitute the major themes of IRIS 12.
